I was pulling into a gas station and the car just wouldn't move. I was pushing on the gas and had the pedal all the way down to the floor and nothing. I let off the gas and pushed it down again and it finally jerked and went. I have an appointment today at the dealership. I am sure that they will tell me that it is nothing as they have with my other vehicle I had but hopefully they will find an issue and fix it. I am very nervous about this happening again. I am really thankful this wasn't on the major highway I have to drive on to and from work every day.

This is an incident that has happened twice since I bought the car, and years ago from another the Excel. What surprised me was that it was the same thing, which tells me that they have never updated the issue from the 90's.

They stated that the engine needs to be replaced and it will cost $8500; we had an oil change within 30 days and 5 qts of oil was put in car. No leaks in garage at all. So to say the least it has to be car, maybe that's why original owner returned in after 10 months.

Can you say lawsuit.

While driving slowly through traffic intersection, my 2016 Sonata loss power, turned off and all system lights appeared on the dash. I quickly turned my ignition key to the off position and immediately turned ignition key and restarted my car.

The very next morning took 2016 Sonata into service at Hyundai Dealership,.... described in detail the problem and how fearful I am for my safety from the loss of power while driving. Dealership had no available loaners and I asked dealership manager for alternative loaner, he approved a rental as substitute. Service kept my 2016 Sonata approximately 24 hours. Service advisor telephoned me and indicated that service could not identify the reported problem . The service advisor stated that the technician drove my car for 50 miles and did not observe my reported complaint and found no code indicators. Therefore service could not find cause of the problem.
