Alternator went bad. Car stalled at a stop sign, and ignition went out. No check engine light. Failure was diagnosed at a hyundai dealer (roger beasley). Other dealers (south point) refused to diagnose since check engine light was not on. Seems like Hyundai's warning lights are of no use, since they don't come on until something bad has happened.
