Wife was driving a rental Hyundai Sonata, approaching an intersection with stopped cars. With ample space and travelling 40kmph, she attempted to brake but the pedal would not depress and she rear-ended the stopped car in front of her.
She made multiple attempts to re-engage the brake pedal with the pedal stuck in the up position.
