While driving, the SRS light would appeared on the dashboard and remained on. The driver was able to drive it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic placed the vehicle on a diagnostic machine, but the problem could not be duplicated. The driver informed the mechanic that this problem has occurred more than once and still has not been resolved. Please fill in additional information.
Driver swerved to miss moose, ran into back of parked semi trailer. 2000 Hyundai Tiburon air bags failed to deploy. Severe crash damage to the car, frame bent, motor mounts sheared horizontally, digital photos available. Hyundai says crash was not directly on sensor so air bags did not deploy. System checked and verified error free by Hyundai. This is either a design defect or someone trying to cover up a problem. Damage to car is so severe the air bags should have deployed. Neither air bag driver or passenger deployed.
