Hyundai never notified us of the subframe rust recall. Our mechanic just pointed out that our's. he said the car is unsafe to drive. Getting it replaced at our expense. Brake lines have already failed and had to be replaced at our expense. Alternator and power steering pump, front suspension all at our expense. Hyundai unresponsive.

Rear subframe has collapsed and disconnected from the unibody suddenly due to excessive corrosion. Car is only 12 years old and only has 150,000 miles on it. Collapse is sudden and makes the car difficult to steer and can result in erratic movements in handling.

2006 Tucson Hyundai-11,000 mi and had to replace rear tires due to tire wear. Completely bald. Cost-$300. Dealer states it may be due to needing alignment or defect in frame. Will not honor bumper to bumper 5 year 60,000 mi warranty. Refuses to pay for alignment or to see if it is a frame problem. Will not reimburse for tires, even though the tire dealer stated the measurements and how it was not right to have them that bald. Buying the car brand new-I now am afraid to drive it. It was bought June 2006, I have babied it and drove only for special occasions and vacations. Yet now I feel it is dangerous to drive. Especially when it could be a frame problem, and they are refusing to investigate. I am having to take it to a alignment shop myself to have it checked. Your site only gives me the option of one tire report. But both tires were bald! thank you.
