The dealer changed a cable, it then would come out of park, but not as smooth. The consumer then stated it almost became impossible for the gear to come out of park. When the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, he was told there was a transmission problem that would cost $1300. The consumer was told the manufacturer was aware of the problem since 2002.
