Pain in the @$$ repair. Search for it on YouTube and Johnny’s Whips has the best video showing the repair. Without that video I'd be lost spending a ton at a mechanic to have them do it. Fair warning...you won't like doing this repair, but I can't think of any I truly enjoy doing anyways. Found the issue from my car's engine shutting off and the power steering shutting off as well. Definitely a scary diagnosis if you're on a highway since it just sneaks up on you. Thankfully this sensor replacement worked for me so far!

Since I bought the car brand new in April of 2011 the traction control light has come on and stayed on constantly while driving. Over the last 2 years they have changed different parts but still the light comes on.

One time they just disengaged the traction control so I was driving around thinking I had traction control when I did not. This last time they removed the entire steering column to change a part. They told me the problem had finally been resolved. When I drove the car my signals, headlights, etc were not working, again putting my life and others in danger as I could not signal my turns. Now the car is back in getting fixed again.

I contacted Jeep costumer service to tell them about all the problems I was having. They told me they would have a resolution adviser contact me and make sure I was satisfied. 6 days later after calling costumer service 3 more times, the resolution person finally calls and says she called the dealership and the car is fixed. She is suppose to be my case manager, but had no idea what the issues I was having were, how many times my car had been in the shop, and never reviewed any of the information documented for my case. Not much of a case manager.

I told her I was concerned my warranty would be running out soon and that the problem might not be resolved. She said we will deal with that if it happens, not that the work would be covered or anything. I also asked if I would still get a rental car or roadside assistance if I had the same problem again and she just said as long as you are still covered by my warranty which gives me only a few months. Then she hangs up on me after connecting me to the dealership where my car is. No number to call her back or anything. So now I have to go pick up my car and hope everything is really fixed this time or my life and others may be put in danger again.
