Renegade Latitude 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I purchased a 2016 Jeep Renegade about 1 1/2 years ago, which at the time had 26.000 miles on it. Yesterday I drove just a few miles and thought that I had seen smoke from my lights. The car just stopped in the middle of the road. There was no light on in the dash, nothing at all. No forewarning, it just died.

I got out and looked it over and seen oil everywhere, and on the ground was a big ring, all over the under carriage, exhaust... it was like it blew all over. I just started my vacation, I am a single dad that takes them to school. I'm PISSED, you spend 20,000 on a car and this is what you get? I did some research and saw that this year has had issues like this. What the hell is this world coming to? Every where you turn someone is trying to scam money from people amongst other things. I will be calling the better business bureau and filing a complaint.

I hate to say this but I bought this through carvana and questioned myself if this was the right thing to do. Well I got my answer. I will also be calling Jeep to file a complaint. I just lost my daughter and now this, I really don't have the funding to replace an engine because I'm pretty sure that is what is going to come from this. This is a bunch of crap and there should be things in place for this, something that new should never has issues like this. I will never buy another Jeep again. Not to mention my only means of transportation. Thank you Jeep and Carvana, I will go above and beyond to post things regarding this every chance I get.

Renegade

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,200 miles

We bought our 17 year old son a brand new vehicle to help ensure his safety and the reliability of the car. It was the expensive model Jeep Renegade. Instead, he was stranded on a dark road with no shoulder to be off the driving lane only 6 weeks after we purchased the vehicle. We raced to meet him. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who found metal everywhere under the hood. While the engine was replaced, our son's safety was put in danger by a significant manufacturers defect.

Renegade Limited 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,600 miles

Driving my 3-month-old Renegade with 3600 miles and with no warning the engine blew. When diagnosed by the dealer there is a 4-inch hole in the block of my engine. I had no warning or lights etc come on and then I was stranded on the side of the road for three hours and almost froze to death.Chrysler has the worst customer service a corporation can have and its been 3 weeks and no solution as of yet. Not sure if it will get fixed as the engine is back ordered and they only have 30 days to fix. They need to give me a new car period. Interested if anyone has had any problems with theirs.
