Coming to a stop, cars brakes started grinding while car lunged forward and would stop accelerating. Stomped on brakes and car wouldn’t stop accelerating resulting in me taking out a fence. Car is one month out of warranty

renegade accelerated on its own after taking foot off brake

Posting on behalf of my daughter. She's had her Renegade for about a month (~2,100 miles). The acceleration is sluggish as widely reported by many others, but her issue was scarier (to her anyway). She was stopped in traffic (4/25/2016) and when she took her foot off the brake the Renegade accelerated (lunged) on its own, the dash panel went beserk flashing/flickering and then stopped with the message to service the Electric Emergency Brake. It resulted in an accident and damage to another vehicle. She wouldn't even get back in it and ride with me to drive it to the dealership. Any and all input on how to best deal with Chrysler on this issue is appreciated.
