I was driving down the freeway and all of the sudden the engine lost power and started making noise. I took it to the dealer and it needs a new engine and we are waiting to see if warranty will cover it. I purchased a separate bumper to bumper warranty in addition to Kia so we will see.

While driving the car will just shut off no warning just goes off, this is very unsafe I have taken it to the shop and they can't find a reason for this, I am very worried about driving my car.

Same problem as the one posted above me. Kia doesn't recognize this as a problem

When driving in ECO mode at approximately 40mph, the car will suddenly lose power and shudder. Pressing on the accelerator yields no acceleration. The car just stumbles for 10-15 seconds, then accelerates SLOWLY. I can reproduce this time after time, but the dealer claims they can't reproduce it. I was told to just keep driving it and let the transmission "learn" my driving habits. This is dangerous, because it happens when I try to pass someone.
