Problem: I was driving into hospital parking garage, and its dark, so right before or right at the gate I turned my lights on and as soon as I did it car shut down and key immobilizer light came on. I thought maybe other cars in the lot may have confused my car lol. So I recreated same scenario today and it happened just the same. Had been driving for 3 hours, got to work, got to gate, turned lights on to see in the dark parking garage and immediately the car shut off, stiff to drive and key immobilizer light on. I had both of my key fobs in car - not the first time but I did the second time.
Did this ever happen to anyone else? Could my car recognized someone else's smart car key fob, or is there something that triggers it that is at the hospital parking garage, or is it aliens? I just put on break, put in park and restarted it by pressing the button and it started. Drove all the was back home, then all the way back to work and it happened again right at the gate. At no other places did it occur, only the hospital garage. Ghosts in the machine? HELP!
