Air bag light came on and stays on. From what I can tell it means the airbags are not working. I have 2 grandchildren I haul around. This is unacceptable. Kia will not cover it even though it is clear that it is a problem with the 2006 Sedona Kia. I was just thinking when I bought a new car I would go to Kia but the way they have handled this is very disappointing. I understand it can be $1000 to $2000 to repair. I guess a lot of people have to die or be injured before they take responsibility.

I have an Airbag Light that stays on all the time. My feeling is that this should be an issue that is addressed by KIA regarding safety. I am concerned about my airbag not deploying if I get into an accident. I've informed the KIA Dealership who stated that they have no recalls for this issue but would do a $95 diagnostic. For What? They already know it is the Airbag that is defective...hence the airbag light. Then who knows how much more I'd have to pay to have it fixed. According to the Google search I've done there are a lot of other owners with a 2006 Sedona having the same issue. Why is KIA not addressing this issue and putting out a RECALL? Up to this point I'd been very satisfied with KIA and their service. However, if they do not feel it necessary to fix a safety issue and continue to gouge customers in order to have it fixed, my faith in KIA is dwindling.

Air bag light staying on, van out of warranty since I just purchased used but very well maintained Sedona with all bells and whistles. Fearful of cost to repair, dealers not that close and there seems not to be a recall- should be on this safety issue. Will be using on vacation road trip but air bag light staying on means no air bag will deploy according to forum reports. This is not a warranty issue but a safety one. Kia is not addressing problem since many complaints have been made with no recall in sight.

Had a previous issue with timing chain that cost $2000. That wasn't covered because I purchased used.

I did not complain on that one but a safety issue is another story.
