I purchased this 2008 KIA Spectra 11-16-2010 with 37,327 miles on it. This car was still under Manufacture warranty. Three months later I was having problems with the car engine rapping up to 4-RPM WITHOUT having my foot on the gas pedal. When I put the car in drive it will drive 3-4 blocks at 25 to 30 mph without having my foot on the gas. When I brake or make a turn the car cut off, or go dead. I will be driving 60 to 65 mph on the hwy and the car will shut off. I have taken this car to three dealership, three time at each dealer. This is a total of (9) times.I have also spoken with KIA corporate office regarding this problem. One of the dealers worked with the corporate office to replace the fuel pump. As of today this problem still exists with no solution.
My hope is this problem can be fixed before something bad happen. Having this car stop on the freeway in Texas traffic may not give other drivers time to react to a stall car. I am reaching out for help from the manufacture, or any
one that have the answer to this problem.
