The dashboard Is cracked, melted, and sticky. I had to cover it up with a new material for cosmetic reason. Also, value of the car decreased by $1000 dollars for the damage. Second, there Is a lot of creaking in the car. Third, the alternator died at 120,00 miles.

My 2007 Lexus IS250 only has 44,000 miles. The navigation console stopped responding, and this was verified as a defect by a Toyota dealership. The result Is that in addition to gps and radio functions not working, the critical and life dependent features of air conditioning and heating also can't be controlled. These features are vital when living in climates that have below freezing weather in winter, and extreme heat in summer. The cost of the repair Is $2900, and Lexus was unwilling to pay for this repair. Clearly this Is a material defect, and this Is occurring to thousands of other Lexus/Toyota owners as noted by online comments.

This vehicle went into the Lexus dealership for a recall on the fuel system. After receiving it back from the dealership, the vehicle shuts off completely without notice. The vehicle has been back to the dealership for repairs and each time it is returns, within a week the vehicle shuts down. As of October, the dealership has received almost $8000 for repairs. This vehicle is becoming a death trap. It would shut down after stopping at a stop light or stop sign, but the last two times, it has shut off while driving. Once on the interstate. We are asking that something be done immediately, this car is unsafe to drive and the dealership continues to find other issues to make money, but has failed to repair the issue caused by the recall repair. Lexus headquarters has been notified. The Maryland attorney general has been requested to intervene and assist us with this issue. Your help would truly be appreciated.

My husband was driving on I 295 in Maryland, when the car suddenly shutdown. He stated he was going approximately 55 miles per hour and was fortunate enough to be able to maneuver from the middle lane to the side of the road. This is not the first time the vehicle shutdown completely. The previous incidents occurred after stopping at a stop sign or signal. The vehicle has been to the Lexus dealership in Maryland for repairs, but each time(at least 4 now) within a 6-7 days, the vehicle shuts down. These incidents did not start until after the dealership took care of the fuel recall, April of 2015.

Sitting still in a parking lot. Just started the car. Led lights stopped working on speedometer and RPM. Then I tried to touch my gps and it stopped recognizing my touch. Traveling down the road, my headlights go out and I turn the light switch off and back on and my headlights come back on. Two years later (present time), my headlights still go off while driving or sitting still very frequently. My led lights are still not working and I ended up purchasing another gps screen and had an auto electrician install it for me. Occasionally my air conditioning system has a mind of its own by switching to different setting on its own. I have to turn it off and back on before I can change settings on it myself and sometimes it still won't let me change them. Auto electricians said that they would be chasing a ghost trying to find what is causing all the problems. I have looked up complaints on the model and year of this vehicle online and have found many others having the same problems that I am experiencing. Something needs to be done. This will cost each vehicle owner thousands of dollars before an electrician could possibly be able to find the problem and fix it.

Melting dashboard - can simply stick a fingernail in it and it leaves an indentation. I noticed that others have complained of this problem also. It's also very sticky anywhere along the leather on the doors and dashboard. Also, my car Is only 7 years old and a year ago the touch screen went out. I cannot use the gps at all. Apparently the cost Is about $1,000 to fix this. Seems rediculous that this would happen after only 7 years. This should be guaranteed for life!

The headlights will stop working intermittently while driving. At times only the driver side headlight will not work, but at other times both will not work. Many times rotating the headlight control on the steering wheel left stem to the off position and then turning the control back to the on position will cause the headlights to illuminate. Other times I must pull to the side of the road, turn off the vehicle, and then turn on the vehicle for the headlights to work. This Is a very dangerous situation as it occurs at night.

Headlights randomly turn off at night while driving. Replaced bulbs already and have noticed many Lexus of this year have the same problem. Have to flick lights off and back on to turn on again.

8.about 90 minutes after parking the car, dave went to start Lexus IS250 to go to a restaurant to meet family. The car would not start. So he took a cab. The next morning (Saturday July 31, 2010) he jump started the Lexus IS250 and drove it to, a Toyota dealership which was the nearest repair facility listed in the Lexus IS250's navigation system as a repair facility system. The dealer advised that it could not be able be reimbursed for warrantee service but tested and advised that the battery was bad. Dave bought a new battery from them. The nearest Lexus dealer was in syracuse, 90 miles away and was closed. 9.the Lexus IS250 then started fine. Dave drove to the birthday lunch after which the Lexus IS250 again could not be started without being jumped started. Dave then returned to the motel to change into hiking cloths. The Lexus IS250 again would not start. Dave cut his stay short and loaded the Lexus IS250 up because he did not want to be stuck in summer Sunday traffic with road construction delays while the Lexus IS250 was erratic. Daves plan had originally been to drive from ithaca to ocean city, Maryland to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Dave decided it would be better to go directly home and take his always reliable Subaru to the ocean. 10.it was a dark Saturday night when dave had crossed the New York Pennsylvania state line and was going through a mountain pass when the Lexus IS250 became very scary. All of the lights and all apparent electric power went out momentarily and came back on. This repeated itself more than 3 dozen times while he drove straight through to his home. Another odd problem was that when he used the switches up close the windows, 3 of the 4 would close then come back down between 1 and 2.

As I just exited the highway and pulled into the parking lot of my work, the steering wheel suddenly froze. I was about to park in an open spot, so the speed of the car was very low. As I was reversing into the spot, the steering wheel jammed and would not turn. I tried shutting down and restarting many times but the wheel was stuck, and required enormous amount of power to turn ever so slightly. The car was towed to the Lexus dealer. They were also unable to turn, and upon their review, they said that there was a leak in timing cover, which accumulated over time and went into the harness of the ECU and burned the ECU, which in-turn jammed your steering. There was no physical leaks on the bottom, and the dealer also confirmed that but said it was an internal leak, you would not see it on the floor. The car Is still at the shop and only after replacing the ECU they will check for steering assembly. The explanation provided by them Is not very adequate and if it Is true then there seems to be a serious flaw in design that any unseen leak from timing cover could cause your steering to freeze unexpectedly, while your vehicle Is in motion.

The speedometer indicating needle went black along with the tachometer needle not allowing me at night to see my existing speed. There Is no contrast whatsoever. Lexus of silver spring told me this was a $1400 fix. I believe this to be a safety issue due to the fact that there are many more concerns on this subject from my on line investigation of many people with the same car. I believe this to be a true safety concern. I am willing to bring my car to you as proof of my concern. I need resolution and consideration from the dealer on this matter. Your response Is seriously awaited.

2007 Lexus IS250 headlamps sporadic intermittent failure to stay on and it can only be reactivated by turning the inside cabin headlamp switch on/off to keep it to stay on for an unpredictable several minutes of use. I've replaced the xenon bulbs several times already but the failure persists to happen.

The headlights on my 2007 Lexus is 250 keep going out while I'm driving, the dealership(Lexus of atlantic city) want me to pay $600 for the replacement of the computer that is causing the problem. I talked with a former Lexus service tech and he said they have had this problem for a while but dont want to address it because of the cost involved and the negative press. I have been stopped by the state police and almost ticketed for this problem. I have children and had to pull over as many as 5 times during a 40 min trip, turn the lights off and then back on to continue to my destination.this occurs when I drive in the dark.thank you in advance for your response.
