The contact owns a 2008 Lexus LS460. While fully stopped at a traffic stop, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the sound was from the high pressure fuel pump. The dealer advised the noise was normal for the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 14,000.
