The electrical on the screen stops working. This causes the radio, navigation and phone not to work. We had it serviced and was told it would cost $900.00. We just had the ""traction service" light repaired and paid $711.00. I love my Lincoln and paid for the luxury but very disappointed that this luxury vehicle would have electrical issues after 6 years.

7-25-2016 At 29,000 miles, one day before warranty expired, had 'shift to park' light come on and stay on even when car was in park. Killed the battery, left me stranded and shifter was replaced at a cost of about 2,000.00, but Lincoln was liable.

6-29-2016 Now at 33,000 miles, and out of warranty getting a door ajar warning. Real pain as it chimes about every 5 minutes, AND since stupid thing thinks the doors ajar it throws in a 'shift to park' warning immediately after each door ajar. Summary, two annoying messages and uncertain what will be needed to fix the damn thing.

Traveling 70 mph, thankfully in the slow lane, the computer failed. Low Oil pressure light came on, steering wheel locked, engine shut off, and brakes failed. Thankfully, I was able to get onto the shoulder. I started the car and everything seemed fine. I continued home, but kept getting crazy warnings like Door Ajar, shift to park, wipers coming on in OFF position, lights in cabin going on and off. It was a clear sunny day, no rain.

I had this same problem with my Ford Limited 2012. The dealership paid off my loan for the Ford and put me in the Lincoln, because they could not determine, after 7 tries, why the Ford computer kept failing. Lincoln is now looking into this new claim. I received a letter after I traded my Ford, telling me that Ford would ensure the computer in the Ford for 5 years. Too little, too late. I'd already ditched the vehicle.

Lincoln MKX was towed for safety reasons. Its been four days and I still have no word from the dealership. Lincoln Client Relations claims they are ON IT. I'm a Lincoln fan, but I will never be able to trust FORD/LINCOLN again.
