The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln Mkz. While driving in reverse, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently. The contact crashed the vehicle into a tow truck. There were no injuries. An independent mechanic repaired the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14E028000 (equipment). The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
