Summary

DO NOT follow the instructions on MGSS for performing the ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) FORCED RELEASE PROCEDURE until these instructions are read, otherwise, damage to the EPB system may occur The instructions on MGSS are incorrect in one step, but will be corrected soon. NOTE: Performing the electric parking brake forced release procedure is necessary if the electric parking brake cannot be released by operating the electric parking brake switch or performing a recovery operation (*) due to a malfunction in the system or a discharged battery.
