Mechanic, service advisor, service manager and a senior Mercedes Mechanic have all heard the problem and they say Mercedes is aware of it but they do not no what the fix is. customer service at MBZ should be called blow the customer off, they have done nothing, i called them 1/9 and then 3 other times and they say we will be back to you in a day. NEVER HAPPENED. they tried to tell me it was normal road sound for the car, BS, i just traded my 09 G550 for this one and there was no such annoying loud intermittent noise. even the senior mechanic from the factory who happened to be visiting the dealer when my car was in was aware of the problem and even told the dealer how to recreate it by putting the car on a slope and giving it gas.
Update from Nov 26, 2017: no one has been able to help. i still have the noise.
