OK, a blown heater core can happen to ANY 18 year old car. But WHY THE HECK do manufacturers bury that thing so deep?? They mount the heater to the firewall and build the rest of the friggin car around it!!! Here's an item that has a REALLY GOOD chance of failing on ANY CAR. It should be designed to drop out below the dash or something without taking the whole damn thing apart!!

I am fortunate that I could replace this myself, even though it took 12 FRIGGIN HOURS!!! I would have had to pay SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS to have a mechanic replace this THIRTY-FIVE DOLLAR part!!
