CarComplaints.com Notes: For years, Nissan trucks and SUVs have had problems with coolant destroying the transmission. And for years, Nissan has done nothing about it.

The 2007 is no different than the 2006 and 2005. Just avoid it.

Frontier LE 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,580 miles

My NISSAN Frontier, with less than 70000 miles, lost all oil pressure and now is SHOT!!!! This vehicle has been well taken care of, oil changed at the recommended intervals, not misused or abused, this is ridiculous.

I WILL NEVER again own a NISSAN product, and will at EVERY opportunity dissuade anyone from buying a Nissan product. To say I am dissatisfied with this product would be the understatement of the century!!! If your looking at buying a Nissan Frontier DON'T!! Just start a fire and burn your money, would be the same as buying a Frontier.

Frontier SE 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 43,700 miles

I am so disgusted with Nissan,, I had many vehicles, and never ever had an complete engine failure on any previous vehicle, and they all had many more miles, a few with well over 100,000 miles. This is definitely my first & last Nissan,, with all regular schedule maintenance,, it is unbelievable at 43,700 miles, the engine is completely shot: knocking/banging blowing oil out of air intake. There are so many complaints already filed with major issues on this 4.0 V-6 engine that is in the Frontier & Quest,, and yet NISSAN refuses to have a recall or honor the warranty to cover the cost for replacement for what is obviously a defective engine. Also,, almost everytime my Frontier was at the dealer "Sheehy Nissan" they try to over charge for service. Consumer rights need to be protected. - NISSAN SUCKS!!
