CarComplaints.com Notes: For years, Nissan trucks and SUVs have had problems with coolant destroying the transmission. And for years, Nissan has done nothing about it.

The 2007 is no different than the 2006 and 2005. Just avoid it.

On 6-1-15 I purchased a 2007 Nissan Frontier from contemporary automotive in Tuscaloosa. Less then 10 days the gears was hard to shift and I took it back and they are giving me the run around.

About a year ago, I had the radiator replaced and transmission flushed three times on my 2007 Nissan Frontier to clear out the contaminated fluid from the cracked radiator. I thought the problem was fixed but today as I was driving I lost reverse. The truck will only go forward now. I feel it is due to the faulty transmission line that runs through the radiator to cool the transmission fluid. I feel I should not be responsible for the entire repair cost. This is obviously and clearly a manufacturer problem. Nissan needs to step up and take care of their customers!
