Engine light on - started at the same time as my gas gauge failed. The gauge showed no numbers(zero) even when I filled the tank with gas. The gas gauge dial also has not moved to full with the full tank. I called Nissan of Bakersfield and I was told the 2 problems are not related but there is a recall on Frontiers causing electrical failure. I have an appointment in the morning to take care of this. I will be spending my time at the dealership instead of working. What a bummer. I hope it gets fixed.
Dealership & Private Shop said it's the fuel pump solenoid- it's display's a fault/ they reset it, it comes back on in 5 minutes, no aftermarket solenoid available, they've tried Nissan's replacement, no good ame problem. It also affects the gas gauge-
I feel up- it reads empty till 50-100 miles
1/4 tank it reads empty again.
Just annoying.
