Won't start, unless fob, next to start button. Key light on dash comes on & flashes, continuously. Fob will not open doors, when locked, key, does not even work to unlock doors, lock & unlock buttons on door & hatch will not work. You have to go back & forth, with the lock & unlock on the fob, to get to unlock. I loved my Juke, until this problem, I need a car I can depend on, as I travel a lot, will be getting rid of this car, if they don't have a solution to fix it . Cannot afford to be stranded, away from home.

Update from Dec 7, 2016: UPDATE: I am back to loving my Juke. Found out reason it wouldn't start was a simple fix. Change the battery in the Fob, works like a charm now. In a pinch, if you put the fob next to the push button start, will start, I drove it this way for a week, until I could get a new battery, put in the fob. I am a happy girl, as I do love my Juke.

Juke SV V4

  • CVT transmission

It first happened once or twice several months ago that the engine won't start using one touch system. Recently it happened very often especially in the early morning. You first noticed that the brake will not allow you to be pressed down and the engine will not turn over (nothing happened). After tried many times finally the brake allowed you to be pressed down and the engine will start. It almost felt like this is the brake problem not the engine starting problem, since as long as the brake allowed you to pressed it down the engine will start. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
