There has been a problem at Nissan for timing chains. They had a law suit over 5 different models. 2011-2013 140,000 Nissan Jukes were recalled. My car was not in this campaign. Now the Nissan dealership in Denison, TX said the engine had to be replace. $8660. I asked about replacing the timing chain but they said the engine should be replaced. I asked three times and they kept telling me the engine needed to be replaced - I contacted Nissan customer service and they aren't going to help. I stated about past problems they had withe timing chains and a history of problems they had but no luck changing their mind.

Timing chain is malfunctioning and has caused significant engine damage. At first, dealership said it was not covered under warranty (car is still being paid off was purchased used from dealer). I contacted corporate and also called back with case number and they are now willing to do a free diagnosis and possibly replace for a low cost. I was quoted $3,000 by my mechanic initially.
