The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue sl. The contact stated that the passenger air bag occupant sensor failed intermittently while the passenger seat was occupied. Over time, the sensor completely failed and the air bag warning light flashed on the instrument panel. This occured in July of 2019 at mileage 175213. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The contact did not know of a recall on airbags on her year and make of vehicle until February 2020. A dealer was contacted and advised the contact to call the manufacturer. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 08V521000 (air bags, electrical system) however, the mfg said that the VIN was not included. Even though the car was experiencing the same symptoms that the other 2008 Rogues that were recalled did, the mfg refused to include the contact's vehicle in the recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact researched the cost to fix the failure and it would be over $2000. The mfg told the contact that due to the current mileage of the vehicle, 190218 as of Feb 2020, they could not offer any assistance. Contact was told the car was too old and had too many miles for them to give any assistance.
The passenger air bag sensor does not recognize an adult sitting in the seat. This looks to be a common problem for Rogue. There is a recall for this issue but not for my VIN seatbelt does not register as being secure leaving seatbelt light on in car.
Air bag indicator on dash flashing. Fault indicates that the passenger seat has a faulty seat cushion sensor. Dealer stated that owner has to pay $2,000 to repair. In the mean time any passenger riding in the passenger seat does not have airbag protection. I do not understand why Nissan is not required to repair safety issues?

Airbag light flashing, one long followed by 5 short blinks, indicating a defective passenger seat airbag sensor. It flashes continuously while the car is turned on. It has been reset and assesed by the dealer. Other 2008 Nissan Rogues have been recalled by my VIN number is not included.
Opened my car, started the car, could not get out of my car. The doors would not open. Had to get out through the trunk area. Tried to open/close the car door with the key, the car locked and unlocked at the same time. The vehicle was stationary. On a city street.
Passenger air bag is not registering that it is working properly. The light flashes on and off constantly even when there is a passenger in the seat with the seat belt buckled. It stay on when the car is in motion, stationary, on a city street, highway or turning.
My car will start, slowing down while I am driving. I called Nissan on several things concerning this car. Nissan has not had a recall on their 2008-2010 Rogue yet. 2008 is the 1st generation of this vehicle. I have had engine cradle problems, control arm problems. These car makers need to be held accountable for their product.

The no occupant airbag light stays on even when an adult sits in the passenger seat and the airbag light consistently flashes when the key is in the ignition (engine on and off). There is currently a similar recall but I am told that my VIN is not part of the recall.

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle decelerated to 40 mph and failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact also stated that the horn seized, and the air bag, evap, and check engine warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to destination Nissan (770 central ave, albany, NY 12206, 518-438-8461), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures and denied the claim for the transmission. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
My Nissan roguenwas one of the first models introduced in 2008. Since then there have been a few recalls that my Rogue hasn't been eligeable for. One of my recalls right now is the sensor in the pending under the seat for the airbag. The recall says the sensor will still be illuminated when a passenger is sitting in the seat meaning that the sensor for the air bag is malfunctioning. Have called the dealership and the car manufacturers for Nissan and they just won't help at all.
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that since purchasing the vehicle, when a person was seated on the front passenger seat, the 'passenger air bag off' message illuminated on the dashboard. The contact was concerned that the air bags may not deploy in the event of a crash. The contact took the vehicle to darcars Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram of rockville in rockville, Maryland numerous times for diagnostic testing, but the contact was informed that the air bag message was normal. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10.
My passenger air bag light is on and front suspension bolts kees coming loose.I justurchased N the dealership said there was a recall. But to my surprise I took it into find out it was a old campaign.
