Today, my nissan rogue exploded, luckily my children were not in the car with me, first it had difficulty accelerating felt like there was no power unless I floored it to accelerate, then as I approached a hill on the freeway it started to slow, then a pop, followed by something dropping underneath the engine, sounded like it rolled under the car .. I smelled rubber burning and smoke came out, I pulled over the freeway, then quickly pulled off the shoulder and got out, to call triple A, by the time I looked up the car was smoking heavily a good samaritan asked me to get in his car and he rolled the windows and backed us to safety .. 5-8 minutes later the fire trucks arrived but the car caught on fire by then.

I have my vin number just located it, but front half of vehicle completely melted .. I'm very glad to be alive today.

What the heck Nissan what are you building and selling? Can someone tell me next steps, if the complaints here are not enough to create viable claims, then does it take something like this to happen?
