While sitting at idle, I noticed that the A/C had stopped cooling and the temperature gauge was pegged at high. Pulled into a shaded parking spot, turned off the engine and opened the hood. Called roadside assistance and Uber to pick up my other vehicle. Three hours later a tow truck showed up to haul it to the local dealerships' service center.

Monday morning the service writer tells me the cooling fan has failed, and due to a NATIONWIDE back order none are available. Due to the extended warranty agreement only OEM replacement parts can be used, and Nissan's supplier for these cooling fans had ceased production due to COVID. Therefore, no one can tell me what the supplier's expected lead time will be to meet demand since these parts have been on back order for the last SIX MONTHS. I've opened a case number with Nissan corporate customer service and was told I should receive a call from someone in the next couple of days. No one has arranged for a loaner/rental so my wife and I have been dealing with getting around with one working vehicle. I'm seriously considering legal action if Nissan can't make me whole again in a reasonable amount of time.
