Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

Takata recall - received notification of airbag recall and am told that getting long term rental car is the best option as the "fix" is not available until spring 2018. This is not a good option however as you have to pay the long term rental insurance rate of over 11/day. That's more than 300/month! the consumer should not be responsible for costs such as these on a life and death safety recall. Best scenario is that they just even trade all the cars for comparable safe vehicles as the passenger air bags were just recalled this year as well. Obviously not a safe or well built vehicle. No help from either the dealer or Nissan direct. They are unwilling to help in anyway and just say that the parts will be available next spring.
(1) I rec'd a recall notice in March 2017 re "side impact sensor connector pins that may degrade over time." I've been to berman dealership in Chicago twice for service and when I asked about recall, was told the replacement part wasn't available. (2) in Nov. 2017 I rec'd a notice re takata airbag inflators
Takata recall I received the manufacturer recall dated March 6, 2017 for the airbags (NHTSA recall number 17V-144, manufacturer recall number R1709), but as of today, November 7, 2017, it still has not been repaired by Nissan dealer, they keep saying that they don't have parts available.
Takata airbag. There was a loud pop in my steering wheel one day while I was driving, (nothing was hit). Then my airbag light came on and stayed on ever since. Now my horn does not work. I am afraid that if I am ever in an accident my airbag will not work properly. However for some reason my VIN is not included in the recall and now Nissan is telling me that I have to pay 150 just to do a diagnostic to see what's wrong.
I was never notified of a recall on my vehicle (no. 15V-573) that was issued 09/10/15. It appears that it is still incomplete. How are they allowed to get away with not providing a remedy in a timely manner. And now another recall (no. 17V-449) says they don't even have a part to repair the defect (takata air bag inflator rupture). The first recall says the defect could result in damages that could result in a crash and the air bag deploying could result in death. What options are available when you can't trade in the car? also, I'm not allowed to take part in the class action because I haven't taken my vehicle to the dealership for repair yet (because I can't). Now I'm very anxious every time I get behind the wheel of my car.
Takata recall I was involved in a front end collision and ended up having plastic pieces from my airbag shot into my right hand. This accident occurred on a city street where I rear ended a motorcycle. Updated 8/24/18

The contact was informed that parts would be available sometime in 2018. The manufacturer informed the contact to call the dealer and did not offer further assistance. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall - I received a notice from the dealer on 9/22/17 that says the air bag parts will not be received to fix my car until spring of 2018. So all of my passengers are at risk until that time.
Takata recall. I received a letter from the Nissan dealer where I purchased my car, stating that my car will be recalled sometime next year for an air bag replacement. I'm also receiving letters stating how dangerous the airbags are, that there is a class action and this can cause serious injury or death. What do I do in the meantime" how safe am I driving my vehicle waiting until next year" I'm confused and concerned. Please advise. Thank you
