While driving on a street and also on the highway my power steering warning will appear on the info display and all my gauges such as gas and speed will fluctuate with the needle constantly going up and down. I can not tell how much gas I have or the speed I am going. The car then seems to become jerky in its movements so I pull over and turn it off and wait a few minutes, but then it continues to happen moments later. I see that there has been a recall for power steering however my VIN shows I have no outstanding recalls at this time.

Power steering notification comes on immediately when car is started. While stoped the steering wheel jerks from left to right. While driving the steering wheel continues to jerk from side to side, moving the front wheels with it causing the car to swerve left and right. Jerking from left to right becomes worse with speeds greater that 50 mph

My 2007 Pontiac G6 shifts so hard and my engine light stays on all the time I have looked up online and multiple people have the same problem with the 06-07 models and it's the same exact problem as mine. It shifts way to hard there should be a recall on this for sure ! no one has been able to find a legit solution to fixing this problem GM really messed up when they made these cars if I would have read reviews first I definitely would no have bought this car ! as soon a share you turn the car on and put it in to reverse or drive it jerks really hard then every 10 mph you go it jerks you all the way forward trying to shift ! definitely disappointed really hope they do a recall because I can't afford to keep trying to fix this problem and nothing seems to work ! I'm sure everyone will appreciate ignorance they do a recall !!

Drivers side low beam headlight keeps burning out. The electrical wiring appears to get too hot and burns the light bulb out. The socket and the bulb would both need to be replaced because it the socket partially melts. I have replaced the socket and the bulb three times and the same thing keeps happening.

The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac G6. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle would not stop when the brake pedal was depressed. The brake pedal pulsated and the steering wheel shook. In addition, the service electronic stability control and traction indicators illuminated. The contact managed to drive the vehicle home. The contact stated that "all communications were lost and no codes were detected". furthermore, the convertible roof did not close. The vehicle was towed to bowser automotive (412-469-2100, located at 132-, 168 N lewis run rd, West mifflin, pa 15122) where the technician performed a diagnostic test, but did not find any codes. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there were no current recalls. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired in 2017 per NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system, exterior lighting, vehicle speed control, electronic stability control). The vehicle was not repaired for the recent failures. The failure mileage was approximately 37,300.

While driving my car to work this morning on a city street downtown dallas it went into a flam and start smoking. I had to pull over and dial 911 and they came out and let the fire out the fire department told me to watch the car becuz it can start another fire the sprayed under the hood and in the dash board inside the car. The fire department said it could be some wiring issue but they wasn't sure. So I called and had the car towed to good year. They told me they could look at the car until tomorrow and will call me once they take a look

I have replaced the alternator, the electric power steering assist motor and air filter on multiple occasions and, after doing some research, have found that my car is experiencing every issue th's to have seen in previous GM vehicle safety recalls. Unfortunately, my VIN number seems to be one of those that has not been identified has having had those issues although it currently is experiencing them. I want to lodge a complaint that the VIN number search tool is not accurate enough to determine the validity of a claim. I say this because even on the NHTSA website, the tool says that not all VIN numbers that are experiencing issues with a recall have actually been associated to any recalls. As there do exist current recalls for all 07 Pontiac G6 models, there are no recalls related to my specific VIN number. But, all of the recalls directly mention every issues that my car is currently experiencing. Including, the transmission not properly shifting due to a madness or break in the shift cable, the power steering motor suddenly dying, the car experiencing a sudden loss of power, etc. Each of these issues is directly mentioned in a recall for G6 models in general, but for some reason, not for my car, specifically?

Power steering message pops up and it makes it very hard to turn. This may happen when you crank the vehicle or will happen while driving the vehicle. It makes it pull to the side. It is very dangerous. Also, my car has a problem with the gas(fuel pump) the fuel pump leaks fast onto the gas tank. That is a fire hazard. It is also horrible on my gas mileage. There needs to be a recall and if there is one already or needs to be expanded. I've had nothing but trouble out of this vehicle. And spent too much money on it. There something wrong with the electric box and it throws codes for multiple problems, and when those problems are fixed it doesn't help. It's costing people money for nothing.

My steering wheel suddenly gets hard to move. It happens when im on the freeway going 60+ mph and my power steering pump just completely goves out. I can pull over and turn my car off and back on and it stops doing it til I get back up to the speed limit. I was told by a repair shop that my power steering was covered by a GM recall, and I cant get anyone to find the recall information. My concern is why is it just a few makes recalled if the entire year of that make and model are faulty.

Electrical systems that control power steering weaken when switching gears. Power steering causes lights to dim in car and headlamps outside of car at night and during the day. Lighting fails on the front passenger side causing right turn signal to malfunction and entire assembly to appear dim and not at all when signal is activated. This occurs at all times of vehicle use: Stationary, city driving, and highway driving.

The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the exterior brake lights failed to illuminate when the brake pedal was depressed and the brake warning indicator remained illuminated. The contact also stated that the gear shifter would engage into neutral, park, or drive independently. The failures occurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to bay ridge Chevrolet (1575 86th street, brooklyn, NY 11228, 718-232-0186) where a diagnostic test located a failure code for the body control module, which needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system, exterior lighting, vehicle speed control, electronic stability control). The contact stated that the repair did not correct the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 89,000.

Transmission floor shift cable malfunctioned when I was driving and something broke, I think it could have been a shift cable. Also my brake lights keep coming on evn when I don't apply the brakes the brake lights stay on. And also my steering is hard to steer occasionally, which makes it dangerous when using on windy roads. Both in the city and mountainmountain highways. I had recently found out about the recalls when I was troubleshooting why my tranny cable broke the other day. The transmision failed just recently, the other symptoms started happening about 0 to 40 day ago.
