To sum it up started getting "engine power reduced" message from message center in vehicle. Shortly afterward the vehicle will begin flashing the traction control off light and shifting hard. Now the vehicle still shifts hard with the two above messages and is also stalling out when "engine power reduced" message appears. Many times after this the vehicle will not accelerate at all. Have to pull off the road, cut the vehicle completely off for a few minutes and then continue driving. Problem started intermittent and now happens every single time I drive the vehicle. I have had it stall out on the highway going over 50 mph, very dangerous was almost hit. Vehicle has been at the used lost service center three times, no luck on finding problem or repair. Car has been with my local GM certified dealership for 3 days and still no proper diagnosis problem or repair. Has sense received the two recall letters BCM/transmission but dealership is reluctant to repair because they said GM may not pay for time and parts. Worse car purchase I have every made.

Replaced both front headlight bulbs on multiple occasions. Replaced entire headlight unit to driver side and passenger side. Both headlight bulbs were out- new bulbs- wiring harness melted, along with other electrical issues associated with vehicle such as hot faceplate to radio; interior door handles; and shifter box. Recently the traction control message appears on the radio message area. Additional issue about a year ago wherein another driver informed me that I had no working rear brake lights.

I was traveling on U.S. 30 to greensburg, pa and I went on to the off ramp on to West pittsburgh street and the traction control, stability lights lit up. I look down at the dashboard to see what going on. Then, my car jerked suddenly backwards I hit my head two or three times off the head rest. I hit the on star button to report what has happened to verify the codes and told them the situation. The on star people didn't even ask me if I needed medical attention. So, I drove to the hospital that was 1/4 mile away. I was diagnosed with a head injury and received treatment for neck and back injuries.

I replaced my driver and passenger low beam bulbs on two different occasions within the past year. Well low and behold my passenger low beam bulb blew out again! as I disconnected the headlight, I noticed the wire harness had melted!!!! luckily, I am alive to tell about it! upon reading all of the other individuals' reports on this matter, it is alarming that there was no recalls for this damage by GM! GM needs to make this right! I trusted GM...... only to be betrayed! faulty wiring!!!! this is B.S. an unsatisfied GM customer, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I was driving down the street and noticed I couldn't hear the turn signal click. When I got out of my car, I check to make sure they worked. They did. I then turned my car off and then on again and the warning chime did not make noise. If a seatbelt is not on, the chime no longer sounds either for both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. I can't tell without visible looking if my turn signals are still on when driving or if the passenger is wearing their seatbelt.

Brake lights remain on when the brake pedal is not pushed, but go off when the brake pedal is pushed, just the opposite of what is supposed to happen. Following vehicles cannot be signaled when slowing down creating danger of a rear end collision. The problem is intermittent can tell it is happening when the cruise control does not work.

Door locks stopped opening back doors or on occasion wouldn't lock or unlock. If I am in a situation and someone is in backseat the doors would remain locked. I would have to roll down windows to unlock the backseat doors, before I could get an infant passenger and remove from car seat. Lord forbid I'm on train tracks.

Vehicle battery was drained overnight from consumer electronics (dvd charging, gps) to the point when attempting to start near zero voltage with inside lights shutting off. Charged with 10 amp battery charger to full battery. Afterwards key fobs would not work. Did not think much of it. After a few days of driving noticed the tire pressure info was all -- (not posting). Tire pressure system monitoring was completely off with no notification to driver. Found several sites that say a G6 can lose it's tire sensor/key fob memory from a slowly draining battery and must be taken to a dealer to fix it. Took it to a GMC (formerly Pontiac) dealership, $95 later only got the tires working again. Newer vehicles have a procedure for owners to initiate this setup themselves and reprogram the tires and key fobs, but not 2008. The lack of tire pressure sensors when they were there prior should trigger at minimum a warning on every start. It can tell me I need an oil change every day. For this to happen because of a low voltage event is terrible circuit design / bad programming. If an owner charges his kid's dvd player and it kills the battery the next day the mandatory tmps system may not work, and not work without warning. Hopefully the day the dvd player needs a charge isn't the same day they develop a medium leak driving down the mountains of Utah, because the driver won't be notified the system forgot the sensor id's and doesn't care about those pressure readings anymore, even the falling pressure on the tire holding the car in the correct lane at a 8% grade, downhill. #1 fix the safety issue. #2 don't charge me to re-program something that is not safe and was corrected on newer vehicles.

The service airbag light comes on and so does the tire inflation warning at start up and stays on.. this use to be occasionally and then not come on the next time you started it...now it does it almost continually..also the seats electric height adjustment has broken free of the base on the floor...the weld has broken on the tube on the base of there car...I see so many other car owners with the same exact issues yet no one is addressing them or issuing a recall...theses issues should not be fixed at the owners expense when GM knows there is an issue and a seat in a car should never have welds fail this is a major safety issue..these seats would never hold up in a crash.

The airbag light has came on and the passenger seat will not show someone is sitting in it for the passenger airbags. The light first came on in February but went off a few days later it then came back on in March and will not shut off. The dealership will not fix it because there is no recall on it. If a crash happens my airbags will not work. Also I have had my engine for my windshield wipers replaced three times 600 dollars later my wipers do not work. They keep telling me it keeps snapping I can't keep spending money onthis. Also my gears do not shift properly even though the transmission checked out good. There is a recall for this but the dealership refused to fix it stating the part was not received yet. I haven't received any recalls by mail even though there are plenty of them. This whole car needs recalled.

Both of my head lights have gone out. My first headlight went out and the dealer stated that my wires had corroded and needed to be replaced. Now two months later my other headlight is out and I believe it is the same issue. Also I have been having trouble with both cruise control and my turn signals as both have not been reacting to the command. I believe that it is related to the May 14, 2014 recall regarding the electrical system, electronic stability control, vehicle speed control. I spent over $500 to replace the first headlight. The other items have not been replaced yet, but I know they will need to be and the cost will be exorbitant.
