Driving on expressway power steering went out almost got in a wreck can this be covered for repair under the special coverage that is now expired I had no idea about this got car in May 2019 please coverage this

The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.

My daughters 2008 Pontiac G6 had intermittent power steering issues making the car very dangerous to drive. I checked for a recall and the dealer (matthews auto, vestal, NY) was not very opened about the details they tried to say that there was no recall on the when I had to ask about the one posted on your site. Not until then did he tell me that the torque sensor was replaced in 2014 and they were the ones who serviced it. The power steering has since failed all together and I understand that you have to have a GM dealer fix this problem $700-$1000. I've also read that others had their recall serviced only to say that the problem was not resolved. I have to wonder how many cars (with young drivers behind the wheel) are out there on the road like this. The problem is very scary especially for a young driver. I also have to wonder if there is a class action suit somewhere out there. I'm fine with the recall but I expect this issue should be resolved after recall service and it clearly is not.
