Brake Lights Stay On Until You Step On The Brake Pedal

CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 is starting to have the same problems as previous model years, including the headlights blowing out due to bad connectors.

The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

I first noticed that my cruise control would disengage randomly for no apparent reason, then I started noticing I'd get honked at and flipped off while driving down the road. Finally my mother followed me somewhere and she told me my brake lights were illuminated all the time and only went off when I was actually braking! I went and got the car fixed then about 6 months later a recall came out that covered my exact problems. I had the dealer refund me the cost as it should have been covered by the recall. Fast forward a little over a year later and I'm having the problem again and the dealer won't do anything about it but repair it at my cost again because their work is only warrantied for a year. This is ridiculous! This is a safety issue that GM had a recall on, this should be a covered repair for the life of the vehicle. When I brake my brake lights go off! Someone could rear end me!

It stinks! The part has to be ordered due to recalls and mine is not covered by the recall! It is awful!
