The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

The contact owns a 2009 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that since owning the vehicle, the wheel studs on all four wheels had frequently fractured while driving at various speeds. The contact stated initially four studs fractured on the front passenger-??s side wheel. On two separate instances, several studs had detached from the front driver-??s side, and on the driver-??s and passenger-??s rear wheels. The contact had towed the vehicle to the dealer where the lug nuts were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 185,000. The VIN was not available.

2009 Pontiac G6, , lost control when the left rear wheel separated from the vehicle. Unit 1 went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. According to the police report, the lug bolt studs had sheared off. ( Ohio traffic crash report # 10-0679-91) updated 01/14/11
