I believe the manufacturer is aware of this ongoing problem. There was a recall on this. The part was replaced with a 12 month/12,000 miles whichever comes first warranty according to the dealership. I have read several reviews regarding window part replacements. People have replaced this window part many times. I think Pontiac should be ashamed of themselves. I wonder how long it took them to own up to the fact they knew this part was faulty. Luckily, I caught the problem before winter came, as my window shattered-had to replace window. Thank god none of the glass injured anyone!!!!!
