Had a problem trying to update UConnect software - after going to two different dealerships to get help with the update I was told the radio was bad. Replaced radio and then backup camera went out. I was under the 36,000 miles but past the 36 months warranty coverage so I had to pay for a good portion of the repair (dealership was willing to stand the labor cost on camera replacement). This vehicle has been garage kept and has had no accidents so there is no external reason for these failures - the only reason I can see is that Chrysler is using cheap and/or faulty electronics.
I did contact Mopar customer service and all they could offer me was that I had been offered to purchase extended warranty on electronics when I bought the vehicle and I chose not to purchase that. If the reasonable expectation is that electronics are so undependable that failure in a short period of time is inevitable, then I think it's time consumers take a stand for this lack of quality and Chryslers lack of willingness to stand behind their products.
