did a not so safe repair with fuel line and injector clamps, my differential bolts were too seized to do the proper repair. lost a lot of fuel when it happened, came on suddenly leaving noxious fumes inside the cabin almost making me pass out on the way home from work. happy it did not catch on fire at all, the fuel ate a hole in my parking spot where it was dripping out constantly. the proper fix is to buy the high pressure fuel line and have the dealer drop the rear differential and then the fuel tank to replace that hose. due to design this will happen to other subaru owners in cold climates where salt is used. where it comes down from the fuel tank through the body of the wagon it is bare metal where a quick connect clamp is used for easy repairs to that area though that is where my fuel leak came from i went to disconnect it and the line just disintegrated letting fuel leak all over the shop at work my manager did not find that impressing.
