My steering started to feel a bit loose and I noticed a loud CLUNK when going over small bumps or around corners. Sure enough, one of the tie rods had failed.

It's not an uncommon problem given the state of our local roads, but I recently had my alignment done and this tie rod just threw everything out of whack.

A new tie rod and alignment is just more money than I was hoping to spend right about now. But any problem that affects steering isn't something you should ignore. I just hope it's not a sign of things to come with this car.
