I had this problem pop up several times (inconsistently) around 20k. I took it to the dealer for another repair, but they couldn't replicate the problem. Recently, when I would push to start, the lights on the dash lit up like normal, but the car wouldn't turn over. I would lock and unlock the car because I was also getting a signal that the key needed to be in the car. That seemed to work until it didn't.

I replaced the fob battery to no avail. Ultimately, I found on YouTube other owners experiencing the same problem. Someone posted it was the Brake Sensor on the brake pedal. Went to Autozone and bought the part for $38.00. It probably took me 15 minutes to install in the dark. Twisting the part out and placing the part back in was the tricky part because you feel you might put to much force, but then it clicks in, and you're good to go. I also had to replace my battery because I had tried to start it so many times it drained it.
