blew engine rod through the housing blew engine rod through the housing

My 2017 Turbo Forester blew its engine in the middle of the Calif desert with no cell service. Threw a rod. Subaru did not take care of me. Could not find me a tow. Thanks for saving me USAA. Left me 11 days without a car in the middle of Covid and eye surgeries. It was nine weeks till they delivered it back to me in Arizona. The big issue is that they put new software on the engine management. Now, instead of the MotorTrend 0-60 mph at 6.8 seconds it now does 0-60 in 9.6 seconds. It has no power off the line and takes forever to spool up. I almost got rear ended when I moved into traffic the first time. They refuse to admit that they changed the software, but it was on the work order receipt. I just found out they have a lawsuit for secretly detuning the Foresters, WTX/STi's. They returned it to me and it no longer has any power. This is not the car I purchased! Next to the Fiero I owned, this is the worst car experience ever.
