This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Vehicle has a substandard poorly functioning air conditioning system. It has a defect whereby it cycles erratically and thereby creates warm/cold/warm/cold air cycles. On hot humid days, the problem is so bad, the cabin cannot cool. The manufacturer, Subaru of America has determined this is a "normal characteristic of the vehicle" although it took them over a month to come to this conclusion. Many other Subaru Legacy owners report this same problem online, however no fix seems to be coming. The manufacturer needs to correct this problem.
