This vehicle has never delivered the gas mileage advertised. My wife drives it 70 miles a day, all on highway and free way's. Mileage varies but averages 25mpg. Even on a 4000 mile trip, our average was only 26 mpg. The digital mileage estimator showed 29 to 31 mpg......We wish.
Our 2000 Forester got 26 mpg and was the best Subaru we have ever owned (We have had 4 now) I will never buy another Subaru after this troublesome Outback. The only good I can say about it is that is comfortable.
