Message reads battery has reached full charge even though it was only 55ยจ%. I followed all the instructions to no avail. I waited until it was 30% and tried again, same message. Getting worried now .
Contacted Tesla service and they said this time it was a faulty high voltage battery which would need replacing.
They sent a trailer to pick up the car, again.
That was 22 July 2025. Estimated date for work to be completed 4 September 2025, 7 weeks from breakdown!
Latest date for finishing has moved to 12 September 2025, another 8 days, how likely that is I have no idea.
I asked for a courtesy car, they didn't have one and suggested I claim from my insurance. As it is a Tesla problem that they weren't involved in, they refused.
Tesla would not help me out in any way, shape or form.
My other car is a 1984 Mini Moke, which is fine for a few miles or so but certainly not autoroute driving or cold/wet weather. I have managed to avoid hiring a car but I now have to. No way will Tesla pay for that.
This is the fifth charging problem in as many years and my mileage is very low. I dread to think how often it would have occurred with high mileage.
Yes, I am thoroughly pissed off. The only upside is that I get a new high voltage battery and expect to have another 8 years warranty on that.
