I own a 2006 Toyota Sienna le with only 26500 miles on it. I was driving my car on the highway doing 45 miles per hour on a dry pavement on Tuesday 09/03/2019 around 6:40 pm and at a sudden moment the vsc light started flashing, warning sound came on, the car applied the brakes on its own hard until it fully stopped, and the engine shut off by itself, which almost got me into an accident. I contacted Toyota and they told me that I have to pay for the dealer to get the car diagnosed for this safety issue, they transferred me to hudson Toyota and they confirmed that I have to pay for it despite that I had my car to the dealer recently for two recalls and they checked the car and gave me a report that everything in the car was good. I have looked online and I found a lot of Toyota Sienna owners from this model complaining about it and youtube videos documenting it, this link shows a Toyota Sienna owner documenting on video the same problem (https://youtu.be/sy9A8shj0xg) which happened with him 20 times in the course of 90 minuets and the dealer could not find what was wrong with his car. This issue should be fixed under a recall by Toyota because the car should not be able to apply the brake on its own randomly on the highway.

Check engine light, vsc light, traction control light. All 3 lights came on at same time. They say it's the gas cap, it's not the gas cap, they say to reset it, that doesn't work. I was driving home, nothing happened, the lights just came on. No warning sound, nothing to indicate there was a problem, my car seems to drive just fine, but the lights won't go off, and I have 3 kids that I take and pick up from school

A/C system has had problems since 2010, they replaced the belts & told me it was fine until the warranty expired.I have had recalls on all the doors, airbags &nav system replaced three times, 2013 A/C was replaced, 2016 A/C replaced again, & A/C is being replaced for a 3rd time along with two other recalls. Tire warnings are persistent. I've never worn out tires or brakes before, except with this vehicle at a rate of every 25,000 miles. (4times td)

To National Highway Traffic Safety Administration representatives, this E-mail is sent regarding my alert to the danger and safety concerns to citizens regarding the used car sales at Honda of fort myers, Florida. Due to a "2006 Toyota Sienna" in fort myers, Florida, that was sold as in very good to excellent mechanical condition and free of defects. It is been recently discovered that a major front end accident occurred on 11/16/206 in Florida. The impact severity caused functionality concerns and defects to the airbags, airbag sensor, and seat belts which were never repaired properly from this accident and left damaged and defective. Sadly, the carfax history had only begun reporting this data on 10/31/2011. The owners or used car dealership neglected to disclose this facts and other severe defects, recalls, and damages that occurred to the engine. The internal damages and safety features were discovered through legitimate diagnostic by Toyota. Please help me to recover and obtain the police report or record held by law enforcement regarding the major accident incident on this vehicle that occurred on November 16, 2006, in Florida. This vehicle may have been a salvage /re-titled but never appropriately and properly repaired for citizens use on the roads and highways. Carfax has provided no response to my E-mail to me but carfax began reporting this information on October 31, 2011. In addition, the VIN # has appeared in reports as an xle or as a limited model design which implies deception, used car dealership fraud, or misuse of the VIN # regarding doing the necessary, required, and correct repairs to make the vehicle safe to drive and perform safety recalls notices via certified mail sent on this vehicle to the owner or used car dealership at Honda of fort myers. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.

One of the front engine oil seals failed while the vehicle was being driven in local traffic causing all of the engine oil to be pumped out onto the hot engine and exhaust emptying the crankcase in little more than 1 minute. I pulled into a gas station and opened the hood to investigate the smoke and smell of burning oil. The oil on the hot exhaust ignited and was quickly extinguished with the stations garden hose.

Today I noticed a smell but thought it was from the road construction. Later I noticed some liquid on the ground under my car. Later I started to drive and heard a terrible noise. I checked all my gauges and nothing looked wrong but the noise freaked me out. I immediately turned around and went home. Fortunately I had only gone a little ways down the street. While I drive my oil light flickered on then off. Once home my husband checked under the hood. When he turned the car on, oil was squirting from a hose everywhere. He checked under the car and oil was all over the bottom of the car. There was no more oil when he checked the oil stick.

Our vehicle has 119,698 miles of wear. We had our vehicle serviced at a reputable dealer. While stationary, both a wheel stud (during tire rotation), and the oil pump tensioner bolt hole (during service) broke. Dealer told us excessive force was not used. I believe inferior metal used in manufacturing.

I was traveling at 65mph on interstate 90 East. The car while driving when I was giving gas it didnt run forward and it just stopped on the middle of the road with my kids in it. I took it to the dealer and dealer told me that the radiator pipe got corroded so the cooling oil from the transmission didnt flow properly and the transmission failed during the car running.the Toyota has safety recall of excessive corrosion for the spare tire then same thing applies as the corrosion part is underneath of the engine.
