The contact owns a 2012 Toyota Sienna. While driving approximately 40 mph, the rear driver side sliding door suddenly opened. While attempting to shut the door, the door could not be secured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the cause of the failure was due to a faulty door motor and faulty door latch. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 44,820.
