Driving along and our sunroof explodes. Nothing in front of us, it was Sunday morning at 7:30, sunny and 64 degrees out. Nothing hit us. My brand new car of 2 weeks and already I have to get a repair. They determines it's an impact shatter because of the broken glass pattern. Wouldn't a weak spot in glass present a similar pattern? The man was unsure, he was not familiar with such. In fact none of them have heard of sunroof doing this. So I have an email full of links to fill them in on this phenomenon.
I have a case out with Toyota customer relations hoping they do the right thing. I will resent Toyota til this car is paid off if they made me responsible for a spontaneously exploding sunroof before I've even made my first payment. I hope Toyota will show care as they so boldly advertise - it's not been my experience so far as a new Toyota owner.
