The hinge itself is plastic and I rarely twist it to the left for sun from the side windows. I did this once since I bought the truck new and it broke. It's very cheap and I don't expect it to be a fix for the life of the truck. The lighted visor is $265. I can't believe there isn't a ton of these. Toyota has a history with visor honges with the Highlander that was taken care of by Toyota. Is it time for a second look?
