Beetle GLS 2.0L

As someone who keeps their cars as close to showroom as possible, I find these types of defects and poor quality extremely annoying. People buy Beetles for their looks, but their looks quickly go downhill, as dash boards get sticky and scratch easily, rubber peels, and VW EMBLEMS?! fall off because they are only glued on with a ring of cheap glue? Once they get a weak spot the wind catches them and rips them off. I thought some one was stealing them until the security guard said his wife had the same issue. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!!!!

Beetle GLS 4.2L (?)

  • Manual transmission
  • 80,000 miles

The VW sticker in the center of the tires constantly falls off. This wouldn't be so bad if you didn't see the sticky mess that is supposed to hold the VW sticker on. And, you can't just purchase a sticker....you have to get the whole piece at like $20 per tire! After NUMEROUS replacements, we gave up......kind of like the underpinning that falls off Beetles repeatedly b/c they are so low to the ground. Our own VW dealer told us not to replace it!
