The contact owns a 2003 Volkswagen new Beetle convertible. After examining the vehicle, the contact noticed that the rear window was separating from the roof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the roof would need to be replaced. Prior to the failure, the contact noticed that the roof would not properly close. The contact owns a 2003 Volkswagen new Beetle. The contact stated that the glass on the convertible top has begun to separate from the canvas. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed a new convertible top. The manufacturer offered to pay 75% of the replacement cost. As of June 18, 2007, the vehicle has not been repaired. The powertrain was unknown. The current mileage is 75,000 and failure mileage was 50,000.
