I purchased my 2015 VW Beetle in June of 2015. The first MPG check was terrible at 16 MPG but I decided to go through another tank of gas and check again. The exact same result 16 MPG. The sticker on the car proclaims 33 Highway MPG, 25 City MPG with a combined average of 28 MPG. I called and went to the dealership after the second tank. I was told that it was my driving that caused the poor gas mileage, that there was no fix and they would get me into a Honda Civic and THAT car would get great gas mileage. I didn't want a Honda, if I had wanted a Honda that is what I would have purchased in the first place. The Dealership claims there is no fix for this problem and I will have to live with it. I am beyond upset!!!!
Update from Oct 15, 2015: Second visit I was told that I would have to drive between 5000 and 10000 Miles before I could get the advertised gas mileage. I would have made a difference in my decision to purchase this car if I had been told this BEFORE I purchased the car.
